Many businesses use the phrase “It is in our DNA” to explain why they are passionate about something, a driving force behind what they do if you will. For instance, Steve Jobs would say “Education is in Apple’s DNA” to explain why they were committed to rolling out some killer education product like iTunes U, the iPad, podcasting, etc.. That makes me wonder, as educators, what is in OUR DNA? What do we feel so passionate about that it drives what we do every single day?
